Welcome to our first post! This site has been a long time coming for us. We wanted to start out with our very first trip together. In the summer of 2015 we ventured to Lake George with Shannon’s family (that’s me). Lake George is one of my favorite places in the entire world. I spent the first 15 summers of my life there so it meant a lot to me that I could share it with Tom.
We stayed in Diamond Point at the Chelka Lodge. It’s a small family resort with a lot of character. They offer free breakfast in the morning and fun water sports to try out. We particularly enjoyed paddle boarding.
If you’re going to travel to Lake George make sure you fit in a hike. We appropriately hiked up Thomas Mountain.
And, with all that activity make sure you fuel up at Cate’s for pizza and the Algonquin for good food and good beer. Oh and view of the lake is killer!
