My Bachelorette Party: Newport Day 3

Day three was our last day in Newport. Again, Kelly and I were up, ready, and went to get coffee for everyone. Once everyone was ready it was time to head out and go shopping and for those of you wondering someone finally came to fix the shower. We also quickly cleaned up the space and took down the decorations.

We walked in and out of shops tempted to buy everything in sight. One of our stops was at Lemon and Line. It’s a very nautical chic shop that makes knot bracelets out of pretty ropes. I’ve always wanted one, but it true fashion I wasn’t going to buy it so Kelly surprised me with one. It was very sweet of her. I now wear it all the time.

We stopped into a few t-shirt shops where I picked out the perfect shirt for Tom. Our last stop was Frazzleberries. I wanted to show my friends how adorable our family friend’s store is. If you’re ever in Newport check it out! It has the cutest nautical country items for your home, pet, and yourself. They also have a shop in my hometown of Warwick, NY.

Our brunch was at 22 Bowens. It was the perfect way for us to say goodbye to Newport and our fantastic weekend together.

I ordered the Turkey Sandwich with a side of the cucumber salad. It was very tasty and their house pickles are AWESOME! Steph got the swordfish Poboy at Tom’s recommendation and it did not disappoint.

Once we were done we hopped in the car and headed back to all our homes. It was a long journey back and it gave me time to reflect on a few things.

Growing up, I never had the greatest friends. Trying to keep a long story short, I was always made to feel like I didn’t truly belong or I was always in the wrong for one minor thing, but I always forgave my friends if they ever made a mistake. I felt like they forgot me when making plans. There was always a jealousy in these friendships. It was hard for me to make friends and I always lacked trust in people because of how I was treated by them. I was also bullied at times by other girls. It made me very wary of people. I do want to note that there were a few people growing up who did care but we lost touch in recent years.

I now find myself surrounded by these women who lift me up every day. They support me and make me feel good about myself. The friends who came on this trip have truly changed my life for the better and I love them all so much. I don’t know what I would do without them. I am so blessed and truly grateful.
