Another bucket list item checked off! We have been dying to try Comfortland for breakfast since the day it opened!

If you don’t know already, Comfortland is the love child of Queens Comfort and the Donut Diva. It’s located in the old Queens Comfort location on 30th Ave and it’s serving up all the Donut Diva treats you could get at Queens Comfort while supplies lasted.

The decor is very light and bright with fun street art on the walls. The space is also a lot more open than Queens Comfort was. You order at the counter and then take a seat. Once your order is ready they will call you up to the window. The vibe is super relaxed.

We decided for breakfast to try the 2 breakfast sandwiches that they offer to get the full scope.

Tom had the MccGruffin: egg, cheese, herb aioli, tomato jam, served on a biscuit with your choice of: cider glazed ham, bacon, chicken apple sausage, breakfast sausage patty, black bean patty. Tom opted for the bacon. This sandwich was so decadent and so messy. It hit all the bells and whistles if you are looking for the ultimate hangover breakfast sandwich (note: Tom was NOT hungover while eating this).

I ordered the Vegan Feast: vegan egg, vegan (Gardein) breakfast sausage, (Follow Your Heart) cheddar, tomato jam, served on a biscuit. Let me start out by saying vegan egg is just weird and rubbery, but everything else about this sandwich was really good! It wasn’t my favorite thing, but if you are vegan you must get this for the biscuit. It was great and you really can’t tell the difference.

For dessert, we got the rainbow “cookie” crumb cake to go. This cake is what put the Donut Diva on the map and was even featured on Food Network. It’s a crumb cake layered like an Italian rainbow cookie with chocolate, apricot, and almond just to name a few flavors. If you go to Comfortland, it should be for this! It is AMAZING!!!
